Through its subsidiary, Malaysian Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE), (formerly known as Malaysian Shipyard and Engineering Sdn. Bhd.), MISC has built a strong foundation in the marine and heavy engineering industry and is now involved in a wide spectrum of oil and gas engineering construction.
Engineering and Construction
MMHE has achieved commendable track record in the construction of various facilities for the offshore oil and gas industry. MMHE's focus is on the fabrication, building and upgrading of deepwater vessels, drilling platforms and other oil and gas facilities whilst continuing to develop capabilities to undertake EPCIC (engineering, procurement, construction, installation & commissioning) projects.
Marine Conversion
MMHE is a one-stop centre for FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) and FSO (Floating, Storage and Offloading) conversions, providing a comprehensive range of services form initial design to fabrication, installation, commissioning and delivery.
Marine Repair
Leveraging on the current strengths in the repair, refitting and refurbishment of Ultra-Large Crude oil Carrier (ULCCs), Very Large Crude oil Carrier (VLCCs), petroleum tankers, chemical tankers, oil rigs, gas carriers, and other offshore support vessels. MMHE has further enhanced its marine repair expertise to include the repair of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tankers. |
